Blog Post #7: Learning from Documentaries

The documentary I chose to watch and analyze was “Bama Rush” on Max. This is a documentary I have been meaning to watch, as I participated in formal sorority recruitment my freshman year (August 2021). This was around the same time #BamaRush started trending on social media platforms such as TikTok, where millions of people watched the videos of women around the country getting ready for recruitment at the University of Alabama (Fliet, 2023). During my two years in the sorority, I realized the environment was toxic and not something I wanted to be involved in. Because of my experience, I was naturally curious if this is an experience held by other women throughout Greek life, and if not, how their experience differs from mine.  The documentary, “Bama Rush” is a story on the history of sorority recruitment at the University of Alabama and follows the journey of women planning to go through the process of sorority recruitment at the university. Blog Post #6: Analyze Experiences

  Mini Refrigerator Purchase and Evaluation Background : For a little over a year, I have been thinking about purchasing a mini fridge to have in my bedroom. I suffer from chronic migraines and having various remedies easily accessible to me is something I have been considering, as having to go into the kitchen of my shared apartment was inconvenient at times.  Time of Purchase : I found the mini fridge I wanted to purchase (and did) at the beginning of this month.  Expectations : For this product, I needed the mini fridge to be large enough to store various energy drinks, high sodium snacks, water, and most importantly ice packs (in the freezer section). I also needed a mini fridge that did not generate a lot of noise as sometimes I become overstimulated when having a migraine. I knew these were necessary expectations due to the reason for wanting/needing this product. Everything about this mini fridge and the products inside needed to assist in nursing my migraines....
